The Journey Begins:..
Hey there, everyone! I'm excited to embark on this new adventure with you. I've always been an empathetic person, capable of understanding and feeling others' emotions deeply. This empathy, combined with my personal experiences, led me to start coaching people. I've been helping others navigate their lives for a long time. My own journey has taught me valuable lessons, and I'm eager to share them with you whether we work together or you just follow along here.
There are several keys to our journey.
Silencing the Voices: The title of my podcast was originally “Shut Up Get Up” and may have sounded harsh, but it's not about telling you to be silent. It's about quieting those voices that hold us back. Often, these voices originate from outside influences or limiting beliefs we've internalized. We unknowingly let them dictate our lives. It's time to challenge these voices and realize that they don't define us. We have the power to create our own paths.
Becoming Consciously Aware: In order to make positive changes, we need to become aware of our thoughts and belief systems. Many of the ideas we hold onto were passed down to us without question. For example, phrases like "money doesn't grow on trees" can shape our mindset about abundance and financial success. But by consciously examining these beliefs, we can identify their origins and choose new perspectives that align with our true selves.
Living Authentically: As I celebrate my 48th birthday, I reflect on the years I spent merely existing. It wasn't until I took control of my own destiny that I realized the potential for change. Now, I strive to be more aware of my thoughts and avoid negative spirals. It's an ongoing journey, and though I'm not where I want to be yet, I know it's possible. My passion for personal growth and transformation motivates me to help others on their own journeys.
Helping Others: When I met my wife, she recognized my natural inclination for coaching. Initially, I had different plans for my life, but over time, I realized how much I enjoy helping people. Coaching football allowed me to talk to young athletes about their unlimited potential. I found myself discussing life lessons more than Xs and Os. This experience fueled my desire to work with people and guide them toward self-discovery.
The Realities of Life: While I believe in the power of positive thinking, I also understand the importance of realism. We can't always achieve every goal we set for ourselves. However, striving for those goals can lead us to unexpected opportunities and personal growth. Even if we don't reach our intended destination, we become better versions of ourselves along the way.
Embracing Life: The newly branded “The Mike Muldoon podcast" podcast aims to empower you to silence the limiting voices and take action. It's about living, not merely existing. Many people go through life on autopilot, just going through the motions. But true fulfillment comes from finding a sense of purpose and excitement in our daily lives. It's about waking up each day and saying, "I like where things are going and I’m enjoying my life.”
